...that is dedicated to innovation.
Alex specializes in physical prototyping and design for manufacturing. He has previously worked in subjects spanning the engineering spectrum, including mechatronics, fluid dynamics, and aircraft design. This multi-disciplinary approach allowed him to thrive in projects from bicycle frame-building to unmanned aerial vehicles. A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University culminated in a farm tractor modified to allow paraplegics to maintain a park in Maryland. Graduate work at Stanford included a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, an NDSEG fellowship, advanced research into optimization of swimming robots, and a teaching position in the Product Realization Laboratory. Prior to joining Pocobor, Alex honed his skills designing medical devices, solar equipment, and kinetic sculpture.
